For 5 consecutive years, tourism in Cyprus has shown a tendency towards steady growth. Recent statistics obtained from the Cyprus Statistical Service, show that 2018 surpassed 2017 by 7.8%, reaching an overall point of 3.94 million tourists visiting the country in 2018.
This is excellent news for the island, as the statistics illustrate that tourism is steadily rising year after year; more and more visitors from numerous countries and specifically from the United Kingdom and Russia, choose Cyprus as the place in which to enjoy their precious holiday moments.
With over 38% of all tourists choosing Paphos and the local surrounding areas as their preferred destination, Paphos beats the other destinations such as Limassol, Nicosia, Agia Napa and Larnaca with the volume of tourists that visit.
