EU ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVE – UPGRADE NOW, SAVE ENERGY AND COSTS
In a bid to meet its EU 2030 environmental targets set in its national Climate Plan 2021-2030, Cyprus is launching schemes which will offer subsidies for making homes more energy efficient.
Within this plan Cyprus by 2030 should reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40%, increasing energy efficiency by at least 32.5%. The EU has committed itself to a clean energy transition, which will contribute to fulfilling the Paris Agreement targets on climate change and provide clean energy to all its citizens.
In an attempt to contribute to this EU plan and meet its energy efficiency goal, the Energy Ministry of Cyprus has rolled out EU co-financed plans to upgrade homes, making them more energy efficient.

The Initiative & Plan
The aim of the Initiative is the extensive energy upgrading of existing homes in Cyprus. This will be achieved through the use of incentives in the form of grants. The Initiative exclusively covers investments related to the purchase and installation of new power-saving equipment and material.
Funding
The Initiative will be co-financed by the Republic of Cyprus and the European Fund for Regional Development of the EU. It aims to upgrade your home in compliance with the energy-saving procedures with up to Euro 32,000 per individual depending on the scheme applied for.
The Initiative & Plan
Applications
Applications will be accepted up until 18/12/21. The applications accompanied by all the required supporting documents are to be submitted exclusively through the website of the electronic System of Sponsorship Plans.
