The International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) has highlighted the Aphrodite Hills Golf Resort as the first Cyprus Golf Resort to achieve this recognition, for the 2020 season.
IAGTO has distinguished once again Aphrodite Hills Resort, the destination of all senses located in Paphos, as the first golf resort in Cyprus to receive Quality Assured Certification.
In 2019, IAGTO announced the launch of its new Quality Assured Certification program. The program certifies golf courses that deliver the best possible experience to visiting golf travelers. IAGTO was established in 1997 and encompasses more than 1,690 accredited golf tourism partners. The organization’s main goal is to build golf tourism, while maintaining and raising standards throughout the industry.
Aphrodite Hills Golf Director, Andrew Darker said: ‘Every effort that we put is made to deliver a unique and memorable experience for golfers visiting our Resort. We are grateful that IAGTO continues to support our efforts in maintaining the high quality of services we provide here to keep Aphrodite Hills Resort in the minds of golf lovers and to be an attractive destination for them’.
IAGTO Chief Executive Peter Walton explained: ‘’As a commercially oriented and IAGTO Award-winning golf resort, we are delighted to see that Aphrodite Hills golf course has clearly demonstrated that it extends the best possible experience to the first-time golf visitor.
