Payment

If a reservation is made more than six (6) weeks prior to the scheduled arrival, twenty-five percent (25%) deposit is required to secure the reservation. The balance will be taken two (2) weeks prior to arrival. In the event that the booking is made less than six (6) weeks before the scheduled arrival, then full payment is required. Payment may be made by either credit card or bank transfer directly to our bank account

Minimum duration of stay

Minimum duration of stay is for two nights. AHHR also reserves the right to decline confirmed bookings in the months of July and August for less than 7 days stay or other peak periods (such as Christmas, Easter, public holidays or other events).

Cancellation policy

Cancellation fee: the 25% deposit payable/due with the confirmation of the booking is non-refundable. However, for cancellations within fourteen (14) days of arrival it is redeemable for other accommodation booked within the next six months. For cancellations less than fourteen (14) days prior to arrival, or for ‘no shows’, or for cancellations during the guests’ stay, the full amount will be payable/due. In the case that accommodation is booked along with any leisure activities on and off the resort (i.e. golf rounds, spa treatments, etc), the cancellation policy of the Aphrodite Hills Holiday Residences will override any cancellation policy of the specific activity.

Electricity Units

A Kw/h reading will be made upon your arrival and departure and details will be available within your property. The maximum limit of consumption per week is as follows: 1 bedroom properties: 300KWH, 2 bedroom properties: 400KWH, 3 bedroom properties: 500KWH, 4 bedroom properties: 600KWH and 5 bedroom properties: 700KWH. Each unit used above this limit will be charge at 0.35 euro cents. In the event of excess usage, the guest consents to his/her car being charged for the appropriate amount. With considerate usage, it is rare to exceed the electricity allowance, however the limitations are in place to ensure that our guests are conscious of their usage and consider the environmental impact of excessive electricity consumption.
Accommodation service

Though it is a rare occurrence, properties can be affected by water or electricity shortages and supplies can be cut off without notice for varying periods of time. In addition, you may find that the electricity may trip if too many appliances are used at the same time. These resources are provided by the municipality and Cyprus Electricity Board AHK and so these infrequent situations are out of our control. Whereas we will make every attempt to ensure that these infrequent issues do not cause inconvenience and discomfort to our guests, Aphrodite Hills Holiday Residences (AHHR) bares no liability for such instances and therefore no compensation either monetary or otherwise will be offered, however if deemed necessary, alternative accommodation will be provided. Although many properties offer internet connection we cannot be held responsible for any temporary failure of this facility.

Air-conditioning

The cost of any air-conditioning is included in the accommodation price; however the A/C units must only be used while you are in the property, with all windows and doors kept closed. Depending on the type of property you are renting, AHHR has given a specific daily allowance in kw/h as noted in “Electricity Units” above.

Housekeeping Service

All properties are cleaned prior to arrival. Apartments and Junior Villas receive one mid-stay clean per seven night stay where towels and linen are changed. Superior villas receive one cleaning and linen change per four night stay.
Elite villas receive daily cleaning. A departure cleaning is included and based on the understanding that the property will be left tidy at the time of check-out and all personal waste is be removed from the property by the guest. In the event that this is not followed additional charges will apply ranging from €45 to €185 based the type of property and the level of cleaning needed.
Our housekeeping team is at hand to provide extra cleaning services at an extra charge.

Damages

All properties are privately owned and for security reasons the approved credit card number given will be charged in case of any damages. The allocated property is inspected prior to arrival and the relevant check list can be found in the property for the client’s perusal. If any items checked are not in order the guest should report this to Guest Relations Administrator within 24 hours of arrival, otherwise it will be assumed that the guest is in agreement with the inspection. The property will be re-inspected for any damages on the departure day. AHHR reserves the right to ask for a refundable amount against damages ranging from €400 to €800 based on the type of property. This will be released 5 working days after the departure. The guest agrees that the credit card given will be charged in case of any damages incurred.
Breakages & Cleanliness: Customers are not permitted to move any furniture or equipment without prior written consent from ourselves. Under no circumstances must any furniture for use inside the property, be moved outside.

Etiquette

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the members of your party do not behave in a way which causes offence or danger to others or which risks damage to property. In such circumstances the accommodation owner/s and AHHR have the right to terminate arrangements made on your behalf, no refunds, no payment of compensation and no reimbursement of any cost or expenses you may incur as a result. Further, you will be liable to reimburse AHHR for any expenses whatsoever it incurs as a result of your behavior.

Property Allocation

Every attempt will be made to allocate you in your chosen property. If deemed necessary AHHR reserves the right to withdraw cancel or provide alternative accommodation of a confirmed booking. In this unlikely event you will be offered the choice to reside in another property through AHHR (subject to availability) with the price difference payable/refundable as appropriate, or of receiving a refund of all monies paid to AHHR. No further compensations of any nature will be due to the guests, and AHHR will not be liable.
Property Details: All properties are well equipped and include linen and towels (except beach towels). All properties are privately owned and decorated and furnished to owners’ individual taste. Maximum occupancy is 2 persons per bedroom. One infant in a cot is permitted per bedroom. AHHR reserves the right to decline access to the property for tenants that exceed the maximum occupancy of the property, with additional financial penalties of up to 2 times the daily rate of the period booked.

Swimming pools

Properties with private swimming pools are for private use only. Communal pools are only for the use of the occupants of the properties. Health and safety regulations are applicable to all outdoor facilities including swimming pools.

Heated Pools

Heated pools are only available when stated in the relevant accommodation description. Most heated pools are electrically heated and may take up to two days to heat. The temperature of the pool will also depend on the weather conditions, especially if it is solar heated, however if a pool cover is available, its use will assist in maintaining the pool temperature at night. A charge will be incurred for pool heating which may be payable locally or on your booking invoice. If you require a property with a private pool that can be heated (subject to availability) this should be stated at the time of booking.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in any property or any communal area including swimming pools at any time.
Insects/animals: Mosquitoes, ants and other insects are endemic in warmer climates, particularly in the country areas. Preventative pest control is carried out throughout the resort at frequent intervals. Should any incident occur, we recommend that you contact our guest relations team.

Building work

It is the case that some resort areas are still being developed and therefore there is a possibility of building work or construction work. Work may begin on a neighboring property over which we have no control, nor are we given prior notice. In the event of disruption caused by building work, a property of same type and at a different location will be offered to the guest. No further compensations of any nature will be due to the guests, and AHHR will not be liable.

Special requests

Every effort will be made to meet any special requests of the guest. Special requests are treated as an indication of preference and cannot be guaranteed. All special requests must be stated at the time of booking or requested in writing two days prior to the arrival.

Photographs

Photographs are intended to give an overall impression of individual properties. The Management does not accept any responsibility for items of furniture etc, which appear in photographs that may have been changed or removed, nor for any changes to aspects which may have changed since photographs were taken.

Advertising refunds policy

Should purchase be made on any services via AHHR e.g. car rental, excursions, rounds of Golf or Spa treatments, etc, the monies used to pay for these services are not refundable.

Information Sharing and Disclosure: AHHR highly honors your privacy and will never trade, sell nor buy any data including email addresses or other information disclosed during any transactions you might engage in with us. We shall not under any circumstances disclose your personal information to non-affiliated individuals or companies without your express permission. We will only provide the information required to other Aphrodite Hills companies and Aphrodite Hills Resort Ltd as affiliated companies to AHHR to communicate with you about projects, prices and services on offer.

Liability

AHHR is a Rental company. Even though we use all resources at our disposal to ensure information provided and the quality and facilities of the properties, we cannot accept any liability whatsoever for any problems that occur while guests occupy the villa of their choice. All information has been provided in good faith and no liability is accepted whatsoever by AHHR for any misrepresentation of villa material or accommodation. We accept responsibility to provide the accommodation as described on our website, but shall not be liable in circumstances where we are prevented from providing the accommodation because of events outside our control, such as flood, fire, adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, war, threat of war, civil disturbance or acts of any local or national government.

Currency

All prices mentioned are in Euros unless otherwise stated and are accurate at the time of reservation and will not be altered after confirmation of the booking has been received.

Flights

AHHR will not be held responsible for changes and or timetable alterations made by the airlines and will not make any refunds due to cancelled flight bookings. When booking flights please advise us of arrival and departure times as soon as possible. This is to ensure that your dates correlate with the set check in and checkout times of 2:00 pm and 10:00 am respectively.

Special discounts

From time to time various discounts will be offered on properties in our portfolio. The cost payable by you is the advertised price of the property at the time of booking.

Insurance

Please ensure you have covered your party with travel insurance as neither AHHR nor the property owners will be held responsible in any way for injury and death that may result while renting or using any of the properties offered by AHHR.

Lost & Found

Please ensure all personal possessions are packed when departing your accommodation. Whilst we will endeavor to assist when items are left, unfortunately we are unable to guarantee the return of any items which have been left unattended and will not be liable for any items lost or damaged in transit. Postage, packaging and handling fees may be applied for the return of lost property. Please avoid leaving valuables or cash prominently displayed within your property and always ensure that all windows and doors are locked prior to leaving the property.

Children’s safety

As we know, children are naturally curious, especially when on holiday where there are lots of areas and things to be explored. Please ensure that children are not left unsupervised at any time during your holiday and take extra care with balconies and swimming pools etc. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children at all times. Please take extra care with children if your pool is described as an ‘infinity pool’. This style of pool will have an open drop from the pool edge.

Satellite TV

Properties that have satellite receivers cannot be guaranteed satellite reception service as this is not a service provided by Aphrodite hills Holiday Residences. We consider the reception signal and quality of the picture received an additional benefit, that a property may have available during the guest’s stay, since this is subject to weather conditions and other factors.

Disabled travelers

AHHR does not provide properties which are specifically designed for disabled access or use. Properties may be suggested for such use, however no alterations can be made to the properties and AHHR can not be held liable for any injuries, inconvenience or damage as a result.

Distances

Distances are measured by car, unless otherwise stated in the description.

Changes to this privacy policy

AHHR reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Should this be done, we shall notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your details or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
